How to help lead Cub Scouts

First and foremost, thank you for your interest in leading your Cub Scouts. The entire pack runs on volunteers. They enable the scouts to grow, learn, and thrive. Every little amount you can help makes it easier on the pack leaders and enables us to do more for our scouts.

Being a Cub Scout leader can take multiple forms, from small to large.

Here are a few ways to help lead:

  • Being a Popcorn Kernel by helping with popcorn sales – How our Scouts support pack events
  • Being the pack Treasurer – helping manage the pack’s finances and budget
  • Leading a Den meeting – teaching the scouts a skill they may not know or helping them earn an advancement
  • Hauling equipment or being our Chef for our overnight camping trips
  • And many more ways!

If you are interested in becoming a Den leader, just follow these three steps:
1. Set up an account on my.scouting.org
2. Take Youth Protection Training
3. Take position specific training (Den Leader, Cubmaster, Committee Member, etc)
