About our Pack

Welcome to Pack 1139!

We are a medium-size Pack (40-50) of both boys and girls in Grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade serving Vienna, Virginia.  Our parent volunteers are committed to developing the foundations for leadership, citizenship, and personnel fitness through fun, engaging, and educational activities.  Our program is designed to for Scouts and their families to get in on the fun, explore the outdoors, work together on projects, make friends, and serve our community.

Each month, our pack holds a fun and engaging meeting and goes on an outing such as fishing, hiking, or visiting a museum.  We also camp twice a year and conduct service projects.  Our Scouts also meet in dens of their grades once or twice per month to work on requirements.  We try to schedule activities our busy family schedules in mind.

Are their fundraising opportunities?

Each fall, our scouts sell popcorn as a way to help fund pack activities. This is a great opportunity for our scouts to demonstrate fiscal responsibility and improve their leadership skills.

I am interested in helping

Do you do camp outs?

Absolutely! We have two pack camp outs: Fall and Spring

Each den is able to host their own additional camp outs

Our leaders prepare the food and the scouts get to clean up the mess

S’mores are optional!

My child is late to join, is that okay?

Absolutely! Scouts can join any time of the year and join the Den which is their grade

Our leaders will try to help the scout catch up to the main den if there are any advancements required to rank up

A cub scout is not required to earn earlier ranks. For example, if they join as a Wolf, they do not need to earn their Tiger rank
